THAT’S NOT MIME

Connie and I were at the mall the other day. There was one of those mimes, all in whiteface. He was doing that famous routine where he’s pretending to be trapped in a box.
So we’re standing there watching this mime pretend to try and escape from a pretend box.
When he was done, everyone applauded.
“I hate mimes,” said Connie.
The mime put passed around a hat for money.
“Don’t say that,” I said. “It takes a lot of talent to make something imaginary seem real.”
So I went over to the hat and pretended to put a dollar in it.
